Geoff Wisner is an author and editor based in New York City. His essays and book
reviews have appeared in The African, African Review of Books,
Asymptote, Boston Book Review, Boston Globe, Christian Science Monitor,
New York Times, QBR, The Quarterly Conversation, Transition,
Wall Street Journal, Warscapes, Weird Fiction Review, Wild Earth,
and Words Without Borders.
Geoff was born and raised in upstate New York, and earned a degree in English and American literature and language from Harvard University. As the Assistant Director of the US office of the International Defense and Aid Fund for Southern Africa, he worked for the legal defense of political prisoners in South Africa and Namibia.
